Solent is just one of many branches of the Honda Owners Club (GB), which is a club run by the members, for the members.

Our aim is to provide a fun, social atmosphere and enjoy riding our bikes. From day rides and trips out, to planned rallies and nights away, or even just a meet up for a chat.

The Honda Owners Club (GB) was founded in 1961, and the Solent branch has existed since shortly after in one form or another.

The Solent branch meets every other Wednesday and currently have between fifteen and twenty five members attending.

We range from those of us who ride sports bikes and tourers, to a small group who are mainly interested in the classic Hondas. The Wednesday night meetings are really just an opportunity for a chat and to find out what is going on both with us and elsewhere in the country.

During the summer, we have a mid-week run on the alternative Wednesday, usually  leaving Wickham Square at 7.30 p.m. with the destination posted in the diary. We also hold a run out each month on the first Sunday, and take part in other events organised by the club nationally. For those with time to spare and when the weather permits, an afternoon run is arranged for the Thursday following the club night. Please see the diary section for more details.

Nationally, the club runs a very full rally calendar for those who are interested in camping, and we have a few members locally who are very enthusiastic. One of the highlights of the rally calendar is our own Solent Rally, which we organize and host. In addition, many of us attend our National Rally each year, and in 2009 won the award for the best branch turnout.

Why not pop down one Wednesday and say hello. If you decide you like us and want to join, then you would need to join the Honda Owners Club nationally, and this would entitle you to take part in any activity or be a member of any branch in the country. There is no further cost to being a member of Solent branch.
